Serenity of David Brooks. Good Lord, Spare Us.

Election Columns:
The Upside of Opportunism (Life Under Romney) NYT 10/30/2012

David Brooks:  A reasonable man *

Brooks rewards tantrums.
Scratch universal health care.
Girls? Go incubate.

Brooks' "authorities"
Come before solutions for
Those too long left out.

What would change, chirps Brooks,
If Romney wins? Things get done.
So ask Brooks, what things?

Brooks' assumption that
Numbers of party members
Makes the difference

Is flawed.  Instead, vote
Out dogma-philes.Vote in
Moderates. Change comes.

Parents: Rewarding
Tantrums brings on more of them.
Obama's calm wins

But it takes more time
Than Churchy crusading and
Posturing. Think, people.

Serene, babbling Brooks.
Heart-and-eye-blind, to life blood.
Issues he sees not.

Life with Romney? Like
Life with a Tantrumy Two
Who got rewarded.

Weak is meat and rich
Do eat. Cloud Atlas. Reject
Forcers' deceptions.

Serenity or
Complacency of status
Male. Question me not!

From lives of taking,
Humiliations, driving
Self-profit. Good Lord,

Spare us. From those who
Hide where heart lies, Good Lord,
Spare us. Open eyes.
